Jerry Bishop, best known for his work as an announcer on the long-term union program "Judge Judy", died of heart condition on Tuesday. "Jerry Bishop has been the voice of our program for twenty-four years," Judge Judy Shindlin said in an exceedingly statement today.

He established himself as a prominent morning radio host during the glory days of Radio l. a. within the 1960s to 1980s, and interviewed stars like crooner, Steve McQueen and actress. Later, Bishop entered the planet of voiceover and worked on campaigns for companies like Miller Kors, Budweiser and Burger King. He has promoted promotions for NBC and ABC, most notably for 15 years as a Disney Channel voice. within the last thirty years of his life, he enthusiastically devoted himself to Judaism. He attended the synagogue on a daily basis, observing shabbos weekly and indulging in Talmudic studies. Bishop married his sweetheart in college and his love for his life, Vilma Leventhal, in 1956. She died in 2007. The couple raised three daughters - Karen, Michel and Stephanie - who the bishop leaves behind. He was 84 years old.
