Massive Pro-Palestinian Rally Engulfs London; Demonstrations Ripple Across Europe and the US

A colossal pro-Palestinian rally flooded the streets of London, drawing an estimated 300,000 participants, as reported by London’s Metropolitan Police. The fervent demonstration, marked by chants of "free, free Palestine" and "ceasefire now," unfolded in central London’s Hyde Park Corner.

The event was not without its challenges, as 82 counter-protesters were arrested in an attempt to prevent disturbances and breaches of peace. Police reported facing aggression from counter-protesters who had gathered in significant numbers, creating tension ahead of what could be the largest march since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict approximately a month ago.

Similar pro-Palestinian demonstrations echoed across Europe, with thousands participating in Brussels and Paris on the same day.

Meanwhile, in the United States, a group of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered near President Joe Biden's residence in Delaware, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. The crowd, carrying Palestinian flags and banners spelling out "ceasefire now," began forming at 11 a.m. ET. President Biden, at the time, was attending Veterans Day events at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

This global wave of solidarity extended to New York City on Friday, where around 2,000 people participated in a demonstration. The march, starting at Columbus Circle, wound its way to Times Square and eventually to Grand Central, temporarily disrupting access to the terminal.

The rallies reflect a groundswell of support for Palestinians amid the ongoing conflict, with people around the world voicing their concerns and calls for peace.
