TORONTO (AP) - Coulombe striker Edmonton Eulers, a striker, died on Saturday after brain drain
this week. He was 25. NHL confirmed the death of Cave with a statement from his family: "Colby was very loved by us, his family, friends, the entire hockey community, and much more. We thank everyone for their prayers during this difficult time." The cave was placed in a medically induced coma on Tuesday at Sunny Brook Hospital in Toronto. He was flown to Toronto after being hospitalized in Barrie, Ontario, on Monday. The cave underwent emergency surgery on Tuesday, to remove a colloidal cyst that put pressure on its brain. The cave's agent, Jason Davidson, said on that day that his condition did not seem to be related to COVID-19. On Wednesday, his wife Emily posted an emotional update on her husband
"We need a miracle," she wrote on Instagram. "Colby's parents and I managed to see him through a window and talk to him with a walkie-talkie last night. We are no longer allowed to enter the hospital because Covid-19 rules. We have no idea when he will allow us to see him again.
"The nurse tied his wedding ring to his ankle. I dreamed of being able to touch you, hear your voice, press your hand (3 times), and kiss you again. I love you so much, and my heart shattered to a million pieces without my best friend."

The cave scored once in 11 games with Edmonton this season. He scored 11 goals and 23 points in 44 games with Bakersfield Condors from the American Hockey League this season.
"Colby is a wonderful person who scored a great goal for us this season," the team said.
