After nine seasons, numerous franchise records and a profound impact on society were released, Bengals QB Andy Dalton was released.
Dalton, a ten year old veteran, has been a three-time Powler professional for the Bengal men, and has set several team pass records since the team picked him in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft from the Christian University of Texas. He started his career in the NFL by leading Bengal to five consecutive breakouts from 2011 to 2015, a series that included two AFC division titles (13 and 15). His regular season record number 70-61-2 as a start is the highest winning rate (0.534) of any QB Bungalows with 25 or more starts.
Dalton is the all-time Bengali leader in completions (2757), landing passes (204), passers-by rating (87.5), and 300 yards (28). It also ranks second in the career success arenas (31,594) and the job completion rate (62.0). Moreover, he holds and records the one-season team to pass yards (4,293 in 2013), landing passes (33 by 13) and passersby rating (106.3 in '15).
Off the field, the contributions of the Dalton community have been among the most important contributions to the history of sport in Cincinnati. After his new season in 2011, he and his wife JJ founded Andy & JJ Dalton Foundation, which conducts a wide range of community outreach efforts in the Cincinnati and Dallas Fort Worth, Texas areas. The Foundation's mission is to provide life-changing opportunities, support, resources and experiences for children with serious diseases and those with physical disabilities. Dalton's work was recognized in the community during the 2016 season, when he was named the NFL's Walter Payton's Bangles nominee of the year.
